Ultra-thick Deck: A Blank Canvas for Coating Artists

XT2766-WIDE.JPG

When one of the nation’s oldest and most recognized coating and grinding experts needed to move truly massive parts they looked no further than Hamilton. Challenged with grinding and coating parts as heavy as 40,000 lbs and as long as 37’, they wanted a versatile trailer that could not only handle heavy loads, but could also safely secure odd-shaped parts like crankshafts, turbines and motors.

The extra thick (1”) low carbon steel deck serves as a blank slate to which they drill and tap or weld temporary fixtures. When constantly working on one of a kind jobs, this versatility is priceless. Heavy duty forged steel lashing rings line the trailer sides, ensuring no matter what size or shape the part, there is a safe way to secure the load.

Eight massive press-on polyurethane wheels accommodate the extreme loads and protect the factory floor from damage. Hamilton’s track record of skillfully designing and manufacturing robust trailers riding on the industry’s leading wheels ensures years of dependable service.
