While today’s cart was purpose built to conveniently hold spring cylinders, this is just one of many possible applications. It features two shelf levels, both working in tandem to align the parts. UHMW sheets with holes for the parts ensure that the coatings and surfaces don’t get scratched.
Angled shelves and customer-specified height provide ergonomic advantages for the user. In a repetitive use cycle, such as an assembly line storage cart, optimum part placement and orientation matter significantly. Although not requested for this particular cart, a handle could be added to the swivel caster end to facilitate pushing.
The cart rides on 4” diameter metal wheels that provide easy rolling. A steel sheet covering the base frame provides added space for storage on the “lower level” if desired. Instead of spring cylinders, imagine a cart that holds fuel cylinders, packaging containers, or axles. The possibilities are endless!
